Hi, I’m Dheandra Jack – the founder and creative entrepreneur behind Dheandra Nicolette.
My mission is to provide women of all ages the best advice for beauty, fitness, dating and more. Dheandra Nicolette was designed to foster a community that embraces creativity and entrepreneurship in all aspects of life.
I have always wanted to become an entrepreneur, but never really knowing it. In fact, when I was younger I had several “businesses” from my short lived clothing line, rightfully named “Dsign”, to my dog walking business. I was always creating something new and having so much fun in the process.
Fast forward to college where I majored in psychology and sociology and almost ended up pursuing a doctorate in psychology. I blogged the entire summer before my senior year and found myself diving into the world of marketing, advertising, SEO and more. It was just the tip of the iceberg, but I wanted more!
I found myself in a master’s program for global communications, marketing and advertising. I desired to quench my thirst for knowledge of how these things worked. At the end of the year (it was an accelerated program)
I FOUND MYSELF WITH A MASTER’S DEGREE, A STRONG DESIRE TO START MY OWN BUSINESS AND AN EVEN STRONGER DESIRE TO AVOID CORPORATE AMERICA.
So, that’s just what I did.
I founded a cosmetics company and my daily search for full-time marketing specialist, marketing coordinator and analyst jobs slowed and slowed until one day I found myself working full-time for myself.. well, semi-full-time. I had a job as an independent contractor where I was doing marketing and business coaching. Now, let me be clear – your girl was struggling, and still kind of am, but
EACH AND EVERY DAY I AM GRATEFUL TO BE DOING WORK THAT I LOVE AND WORKING WITH CLIENTS THAT ARE JUST AS PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR WORK AS I AM ABOUT MINE.
I’ve loved every minute of this stimulating work, while I’ve been growing my cosmetics company. While I love the entrepreneur life, the financial struggle became real enough for me to pursue a full-time position. However, I made a promise to myself that in doing so I would not put my dreams and goals on the back burner. In fact: I made it my mission to work harder than ever to be financially secure and entirely in love with my career.
I decided to get back to my roots: blogging. I dissolved my blog Dheandra Nicolette a while back, just when I was gaining traction. While one of my life mottos is “No Ragrets” (yes, ragrets), I often find myself “ragretting” this one. Dheandra Nicolette was born, again, back and better than ever! Hehe!
I’m so happy you stumbled on to my site and into my world. I hope that reading my posts and following my journey inspires you to pursue your passion(s) indefinitely – cause life is short, so do you boo boo!
